Respect Life Month Adoration
Janice Wilbert

1. Welcome to our newest staff member

I am pleased to introduce Mrs. Janice Wilbert, the newest member of our parish staff. Mrs. Wilbert is serving as our Administrative Assistant, and you will see her in the parish office. I would like to share a few words that she has written to introduce herself to our parish family. “My name is Janice Wilbert. My husband and I live on a second-generation apple farm in the area with our three children. My husband grew up as a Holy Trinity parishioner and now we are blessed to be raising our children here in the parish. I am very grateful to be working within this wonderful faith community.”

2. October: The Holy Rosary, Respect for Life, and World Mission Sunday

The Catholic Church dedicates the month of October in a special way to the Holy Rosary and to the cause of Respect for Life. Therefore, our parish will offer Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from October 19 through October 23, beginning at 9:00 a.m., after the 8:30 a.m. Mass, and continuing until 6:00 p.m. We will conclude our time of Adoration with Benediction. I invite you to come and spend time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, bringing our needs and intentions to the Lord, especially praying for the protection of all unborn children. If you are unable to attend Adoration in person, I encourage you to pray the Holy Rosary with this same intention. In addition to these special intentions for October, on October 18, the Church will celebrate World Mission Sunday. This is an opportunity for Catholics throughout the world to pray for and support the Church’s missionary work. Let us also remember the Church’s worldwide mission in our prayers and ask the Lord to strengthen all those who proclaim the Gospel around the world.

Childrens Mass

3. Children’s Mass – October 18

On October 18, we will celebrate our first Children’s Mass of the new school year at our 10:30 a.m. Mass. We have been celebrating this special Mass for our children for some time, but I would like to make it even more special for the Lord’s little ones. I ask parents to have their children come to the center of the church at the beginning of Mass. I want our children to be close to the altar so that they can see and experience more closely the beautiful mystery of the Eucharist as the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. At the Sign of Peace, the children will return to their families so that they can remain with you for Holy Communion. I hope that all parents will participate in this special Eucharistic celebration by encouraging their children to come forward and by experiencing together the wonderful gift of Holy Mass.

May this month of October be a time of many blessings for our parish family as we grow closer to Our Lord through prayer, the Eucharist, the Holy Rosary, and our service to others.

Remember, The Parish that we dream is the parish that I help to build!

God bless you, and may the Blessed Virgin Mary be with you always!
