Parish Picnic

This Sunday, August 3, the family of the Most Holy Trinity will have its annual picnic. We will start this wonderful day with the celebration of the Eucharist at 10:30 a.m., which will be presided by His Excellency, the Most Reverend Salvatore R. Matano, Bishop of the Diocese of Rochester.

The picnic is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our bonds as a family of faith in God’s presence. Our picnic is very beneficial for our Holy Trinity family because it will help to strengthen our love for our parish family, encourage participation among the parishioners of Holy Trinity Church, promote Christian values, bring new people (you will have the opportunity to know other parishioners who participate in a different Mass and those who come to our parish for the first time), and economical support to our parish.

Come and participate in our picnic sharing your talents, friendship, kindness, love for each other, etc. Our picnic is a wonderful way not only to eat everything, for instance, hamburgers, hotdogs, corn, potatoes, soda, water, etc; but also, to celebrate friendship. Family and friends gather together to enjoy this wonderful weather (because summer is too short). We have games, songs, jokes, and music during our time outside our homes.

The parish picnic is not only an outdoor activity, but it is a valuable tool to build our family, sharing our faith in Christ Jesus, and serve all together with happiness. Children, youth, adults, seniors… everyone is invited to join this wonderful day.

Dear Lord, as we come together for this picnic, I pray that You knit our hearts in perfect unity. Let this gathering be a time of joy, laughter, and deep fellowship. Help us to set aside differences and focus on the love we share as friends, family, and community. May Your Spirit move among us, breaking down barriers and building bonds that last.

Help us to listen with compassion, speak with kindness, and serve one another with humility. Let this time be a reflection of your heavenly kingdom, where all are accepted and valued. Fill our conversations with encouragement and our actions with grace. Bless the connections made today and help us carry the spirit of this unity beyond this picnic. Amen.

Remember, The parish that we dream is the parish that I help to build!

God bless you, and may the Blessed Virgin Mary be with you always!
